Rule and checkout data are labelled by source confidence. Prop firm rules change — always verify current terms before purchase.
Data methodology

How we verify challenge rules

Every rule, percentage, and price on Prop Rulebook carries a source-status label. We prioritise accuracy over coverage — a field labelled "unclear" is more useful than a confident-looking number that hasn't been verified.

SECTION 01

Data status levels

Every value on Prop Rulebook carries a source-status label — source-checked against official firm pages, or checkout-observed from the firm's live checkout flow.

Source checked

The claim was verified against an official firm page, published rules document, or official T&Cs. This is the highest confidence level currently published on this site.

What to do: Trust this value — but verify before purchase.

Checkout observed

Price or selector data was captured from the firm's live checkout flow by the site owner. Checkout prices change frequently and without notice.

What to do: Re-check live checkout before committing to a fee.

Needs review

Data flagged for quality issues or manual review. Do not rely on these values for purchase decisions.

What to do: Verify every value directly with the provider.

Coming soon

Firm or programme not yet structured for public display. No data published.

What to do: Check the firm's official site directly.

SECTION 02

Source priority order

When collecting data, Prop Rulebook uses the following priority order. Higher means more authoritative.

  1. 1
    Official firm website

Primary source for all rule data

  2. 2
    Official programme or rules pages

Published rule details and drawdown specifics

  3. 3
    Official help centre / FAQ

    Clarifications published by the firm

  4. 4
    Official terms and conditions

Legal definitions of drawdown, consistency, and payout

  5. 5
    Checkout selector observations

Fee and account-size data from live checkout — labelled checkout-observed

  6. 6
    Secondary sources

Used as review notes only — never as final rule values

SECTION 03

How we verify data

Official sources only

We record rules from official provider rule pages, terms and conditions, and published FAQs — not from marketing copy, social media, or forum posts.

Status labels before dates

A "last checked" date is only recorded after a human reviewer has manually verified the official page. If a value cannot be confirmed, it is labelled with the appropriate status and not presented as a confirmed fact.

Rules separated from experience reports

Official rules (what the provider publishes) are kept separate from trader experience reports (what traders report in practice). Both are useful — they are not the same thing.

Affiliate links do not affect data

Affiliate relationships do not change a firm's source status, rule data, or risk warnings. See how we make money.

How often data is reviewed

There is no guaranteed review cadence. Prop firm rules change without notice. A 'source checked' label means verified at the time of checking — not that the rules haven't changed since. Always re-verify before purchase.

SECTION 04

What we do not do

These practices are excluded on principle — not for regulatory reasons, but because they undermine rule-risk clarity.

  • We do not claim any challenge is easy or likely to result in profit.
  • We do not publish income claims or funded trader income statistics.
  • We do not pay for reviews or alter data in exchange for commercial relationships.
  • We do not use AI to generate fake testimonials or reviews.
  • We do not add promotional rankings or best-firm claims.
  • We do not omit risk warnings to make challenges appear more attractive.
SECTION 05

What you should still confirm

Prop Rulebook does not replace due diligence. Before purchasing any challenge, confirm the following directly with the provider:

  • Current drawdown type and drawdown basis for the specific programme and account size
  • Daily loss limit basis — equity-based or balance-based, and whether open trades count
  • Current checkout fee (prices change without notice, especially with discount codes)
  • Consistency rules, if any — some firms require no single trading day to account for a large share of profit
  • Payout cycle, minimum withdrawal, and whether the split can change after funding
  • Platform and broker used — and whether your strategy type is permitted
  • Weekend and news-event holding restrictions
  • EA and copy trading policy for the specific programme

If you find a value on Prop Rulebook that is outdated or incorrect, report it here.

Caveats & sources

Not financial advice. Prop Rulebook publishes rule data to help traders understand challenge structures — not to recommend specific challenges or guarantee outcomes.

Rules change without notice. Passing is not guaranteed and you may lose the evaluation fee. Always verify all terms directly with the provider before purchase.

Affiliate transparency. Prop Rulebook may earn a commission from affiliate links. Affiliate relationships are labelled on every page and do not change rule data, source status, or risk warnings. Read full disclosures →
